VIBRANTCARE REHABILIATION TEAMS UP WITH THE SALVATION ARMY TO SPREAD
TOYS AND ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL COMMUNITY
ROSEVILLE, CA – VibrantCare Rehabilitation, Inc., will host a
company-wide toy drive in 49 of their outpatient rehabilitation
facilities and corporate office from November 19 through December 14,
2007, to benefit The Salvation Army. The drive, the first in
company history, will consist of collection sites of new, unwrapped
toys and monetary donations made payable to The Salvation Army at
VibrantCare clinics in Arizona, California, Oregon and New Mexico.
“I feel that a person’s health and happiness are intimately
linked. Happy people are generally healthier and vise versa. To
an impoverished or needy person there is nothing more extravagant than
spending a small amount of their money on a toy for their child, but on
special occasions like during the holiday season, there is nothing that
will light up a room like a child with a new toy. Both the
children and adults gain happiness from this “extravagance”. As a
healthcare company, we feel this is a small way that we can promote
health and happiness during the holiday season,” said David Crume, PT,
President of VibrantCare Rehabilitation.
VibrantCare Rehabilitation chose The Salvation Army as their benefactor
after reviewing several national non-profit organizations. “The
Salvation Army has an exemplary reputation and their mission to serve
the needy is clear,” said David Crume, PT, President of VibrantCare
Rehabilitation.
The Salvation Army will help distribute gifts through its centers.
"Having holiday gifts for family members is something many of us take
for granted," said Captain Howard Bennett of The Salvation Army's
corporate headquarters in Long Beach, California.
“But there are far too many people lacking the funds to meet their
families' most basic necessities -- food, shelter and clothing --
making 'extras' like toys simply out of the question. The
Salvation Army works hard all year long to meet people's needs in
practical ways. Thanks to our friends at VibrantCare, this toy
drive is one way we can all help ease the burden of families in need
this holiday season."
VibrantCare Rehabilitation consists of more than 50 patient care
centers in 5 states. Locally, VibrantCare operates 27 physical and
occupational therapy centers in Phoenix, Casa Grande and Tucson.
VibrantCare clinics specialize in a multitude of services including
hand, aquatic, vestibular, bilingual staff and employer injury
prevention and management programs. Please visit our website at

About The Salvation Army:
The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian
church, has been supporting those in need without discrimination since
1865. Last year, nearly 36 million Americans across the U.S. received
assistance from The Salvation Army through a broad array of social
services ranging from providing food for the hungry, relief for
disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly
and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for
underprivileged children. About 83 cents of every dollar raised is used
to support those services in more than 5,000 communities nationwide.
